About Us
Welcome to Cwtches for Cats
The Cattery opened in January 2020, located in Port Talbot but only 4 miles from Neath and Maesteg. Private grounds and nestled in the beautiful Afan Valley providing a peaceful environment for your cats holiday. Fully licensed by Neath Port Talbot Council. All our cattery pen's have cameras installed which you can access via an app (download below). See and speak to your cat from where ever you are in the world. Download the app, register an account and send us the email address then log in on the day of arrival.
About me
Our day-to-day life radiates warmth and calm, built on a deep love and respect for animals.
Tucked away in the peaceful countryside, our retreat is lovingly run by Carly—someone who intuitively understands what pets need to feel safe and what their humans need to feel reassured. This is more than boarding—it’s a sanctuary where calm, comfort, and connection come first. Carly lives with her two cats, three horses, a tortoise and a very friendly Cavapoo dog, Seren, who will always want to greet you when you arrive. The cattery is 50 metres from the house. We only board cats, no kennels, meaning cats and small animals can enjoy a stress free stay. Cwtches for Cats is a family business and cats may be greeted by my aunt Jane, my parents, grandparents or son

We expect to provide the same care to any cats staying with us that we would expect for our own - the very best!
- I live on site so can give the cats as much attention, care and cuddles they deserve while they are on holiday.
- A clean and hygenic Cattery.
- Only cats from the same household will be allowed to share the same pen.

Opening hours
If you are bringing a cat in or picking them up please contact us directly to arrange drop off and pick up times.
If you would like to visit the cattery you can do so between 9-midday most days. Please contact us to arrange to view the cattery
We are closed for visits on bank holidays but open for cat pick up and drop offs.
The gates to the premises are closed most of the time. This is partly due to a naughty pony called Eddie who keeps escaping into my garden. Please use the side gate or drive through the double gates to access the cattery. (yes that's him on the wrong side of the gate!).

What happens if my cat becomes ill?
We will take the details of your vet before your booking and if your cat needs to see a vet we will contact you and arrange to take them. The vet will normally want to speak to you to gain consent for treatment. If you are unlikely to be available and your cat has health issues, please provide the details of a family member who can provid

If we are unable to use your vet for whatever reason we will use our own vet who is available 24 hours a day. You will receive a bill for any treatment directly.
Terms and Conditions
Every care will be given to the cats boarded. If a cat requires veterinary attention we will contact your vet, or ours if yours is not available. The owners will be responsible for any veterinary costs
We reserve the right to rehome any cat who is not collected within 15 days and where there is no communication from the owners
All cats must be vaccinated and proof of these records shown at the cattery on arrival
Only cats from the same household will share the same accommodation
The data collected on our booking forms is required by the licensing officer and will be stored securely and confidentiality on a computer at the business.
